Description:
FCT saw a need for a Relay Torch that could be manufactured quickly and easily, while still being able to be customised to provide a unique Torch for each customer. We have developed a Relay Torch on the back of our extensive Olympic Relay Torch experience.
Our Relay Torch has been designed so the external appearance can be easily customised to give it a unique appearance for your special event. Your torch can be supplied in a range of colours or finishes including paint and anodising. We can apply your logo as a sticker applied to the torch body, or we can print your logo and artwork on a vinyl wrap which covers the complete torch body.
The Relay Torch runs on a special propane/butane gas mix. The gas is provided in special canisters which will operate the torch for 10-12 minutes. The Relay Torch is easily dis-assembled without tools to allow the replacement of the canister.
The Relay Torch must be lit by hand with a flame which can be a match, cigarette lighter or other similar small flame device. The torch can also be lit from another torch when running a torch relay. The gas flow is started by turning the on/off gas knob on the back of the torch as the ignition source is held to the top of the torch. To turn the flame off, the gas valve is simply closed by the torch bearer or suitably qualified torch handler.
The FCT Relay Torch meets Olympic performance standards, including staying alight in winds to 100km/h and rain to 50mm/hour. The Torch is suitable for small events where there is limited time and budget to develop a unique torch.
